Teeth Whitening / Bleaching

What is teeth whitening / bleaching

Teeth whitening, or dental bleaching, is a widely sought-after cosmetic dental procedure designed to enhance and rejuvenate the natural appearance of teeth. This non-invasive treatment is primarily focused on the brightening of teeth by effectively removing or diminishing stains and discolorations that accumulate on the outer surface of the enamel. It offers an opportunity to achieve a more radiant and attractive smile, erasing the effects of common culprits such as coffee, tea, red wine, tobacco, and age-related yellowing. The process involves the application of safe and specialized whitening agents that penetrate the enamel, breaking down deep-seated stains and revealing the pearly white brilliance hidden beneath. With teeth whitening, individuals can regain their confidence and enjoy a dazzling, youthful smile that leaves a lasting impression.

Frequently Asked Questions on Teeth Whitening

HOW MUCH WHITER WILL MY TEETH BECOME?

You can achieve minimum 3 shades. On an average 5-8 shades whiter can also be achieved.
Different stains respond differently to whitening process. Yellowish teeth respond better as
compared to brownish teeth to whitening. Those who have very dark stains should better be
going for bonding, veneers or crowns. We can help you best in finding which one is the best
whitening method for you.

DOES WHITENING / BLEACHING DAMAGE TEETH?

NO, whitening does not damage teeth. You can get into trouble only if you start overdoing it
as increasing its frequency can weaken the enamel. Using too many different
whitening/bleaching products is also harmful. Always do whitening as directed by dentist.

DOES TEETH WHITENING AFFECT FILLINGS, VENEERS OR CROWNS?

Whitening does not change the colour of veneers, crowns or fillings. If you are planning to
get an artificial tooth or filling, it is recommended that you first get your teeth whitening done
before getting artificial tooth or filling.
