DENTAL VENEERS
Veneers are custom-made, wafer-thin shells of tooth coloured material designed to cover the front surface of teeth, changing their colour, shape, size or length to improve your appearance.
Advantages of Veneers
- Dental veneers enhance the aesthetics of teeth, addressing issues like stains, discoloration, misalignment, and gaps
- Veneers are highly resistant to staining, providing a long-lasting, bright smile.
- They are a minimally invasive option, preserving more natural tooth structure compared to some other cosmetic procedures.
- Veneers offer quick results, dramatically improving your smile’s appearance in just a few dental visits.
- High-quality veneers, with proper care, can last for many years, enduring daily wear and tear.
- Veneers are customized to achieve the desired tooth shape, size, and color for a personalized and natural look.
- In addition to aesthetics, veneers provide some structural support, reinforcing weakened or damaged teeth.

Frequently Asked Questions on Cosmetic Dentistry
Getting veneers is usually a 3-step procedure:
1. Get a consultation with a dentist to know about the whole procedure. We might
recommend you for a full mouth x-ray or x-ray of the desired teeth and will take
impression of your teeth.
2. In the next appointment, the dentist will prepare the tooth for the veneers and will remove
superficial layer from your tooth which is almost equal to the thickness of veneer to be
placed on tooth surface. Impression will be taken and temporary veneers will be placed
till we get your permanent veneers from lab.
3. In the last appointment the temporary veneers are removed and the permanent veneers are
tried to examine the fit and colour before it’s permanent placement. After your complete
satisfaction the veneers will be bonded to your teeth.
Crown popularly known as cap covers the entire surface of tooth from front and back
whereas, veneers only cover the front surface of tooth. Tooth preparation for the crown needs
substantial amount of tooth reduction, whereas in veneers minimal i.e., 0.5mm – 1mm of
tooth preparation is required.
Aesthetically veneers are one of the best options, but it’s not for everyone. There are few
reasons that might eliminate you from getting veneers such as:
If you don’t have good oral hygiene.
If you don’t have sufficient enamel layer.
There shouldn’t be any severe or grossly tooth decay.
If you have teeth grinding habit.
If you have moderate to severe gum disease.
