Why a Pulpectomy For Milk Tooth ?

Root canal treatment for milk teeth, also known as pulpectomy, is a specialized procedure designed to address severely damaged primary teeth in children. When a child’s tooth is extensively affected by caries or decay, a pulpectomy may be recommended. This treatment involves the removal of the damaged pulp from the tooth and replacing it with a suitable filling material. By performing pulpectomy on milk teeth, we aim to alleviate pain and discomfort, prevent further infection, and preserve the integrity of the primary tooth until it naturally falls out, facilitating proper oral development. This approach ensures that your child’s dental health is safeguarded from an early age.

Advantages of Pulpectomy

  • Alleviates toothache and discomfort in children
  • Prevents the spread of infection
  • Maintains natural primary teeth structure
  • Supports proper jaw and tooth growth
  • Prevents early tooth extraction
  • Enables children to eat and speak comfortably
  • Provides a relatively painless procedure for kids
