There are three things that you’re comparing when you assess Invisalign against Toothsi, Dezy, or Illusion Aligners: the aligners themselves, the treatment pathways, and the doctors that oversee your care. Price is certainly a consideration, but ultimately less important compared to the other two.
Invisalign vs Toothsi, Dezy and Illusion Aligners at a Glance
| Option | How treatment is delivered | Cost people are quoted (₹) | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Invisalign (Align Technology, USA) | Planned and monitored by a trained Invisalign doctor, usually in clinic | 1,50,000 to 3,50,000 | Dentaltown |
| Toothsi (makeO, India) | Brand-led model built around scans and follow-up; confirm what is done in person | 30,000 to 90,000 per the brand’s FAQ; plan pages show 52,999 to 79,999 starting totals | Toothsi FAQs, makeO pricing |
| Dezy (India) | Aligner brand usually offered through partner clinics | 32,999 to 71,999 | Dezy |
| Illusion Aligners (Laxmi Dental, India) | Dentist-led: your own doctor registers the case and monitors you | Set by your clinic | Free Press Journal |
These figures have been sourced from the brands and their partner clinics on 2 November 2026. Price lists may not be publicly available, and promotions change prices often, so make sure to get a printed quote.
What Are You Actually Paying For with Clear Aligners?
Clear aligners work by moving teeth with a series of trays that are swapped out every week or two. A system’s success is determined by the people responsible for the outcomes: the doctor or orthodontist who examines you; the team who builds your treatment plan; the person who keeps track of your progress; and the person who tackles the issues when a tooth doesn’t behave.
The Invisalign system is owned by Align Technology. In their latest quarterly report to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Align states that as of March 31, 2026, about 23 million people worldwide have been treated with Invisalign. Align does not examine or treat you. A licensed dentist or orthodontist does the exam, and Align does not set prices.

Of the Indian aligner brands, a few, like Illusion Aligners, give a case portal and lab to your dentist, and the rest, like Toothsi, sell the end-to-end orthodontic experience. Toothsi has been quickly growing; in February 2026, their parent company makeO announced the purchase of Zenyum, a dental care company in Singapore. Quick and widespread growth tells you the brand is well funded. It doesn’t reveal how your case will turn out.
So “Toothsi vs Invisalign” is not a fair comparison. “This brand’s plan with this brand’s aligners” vs “my orthodontist’s plan with Invisalign” is a fair comparison, and the doctor in each case matters more than the logo.
Invisalign vs Indian Clear Aligners Cost: Compare Like with Like
In India, clinics tend to quote Invisalign at anywhere from 1.5 to 3.5 lakh rupees. Indian aligner brands are significantly cheaper. One brand claims their prices are 30 to 50 percent lower than Invisalign, which is a fair reminder that much of what is available online is written by someone selling something. For traditional metal braces, costs are between 35,000 and 85,000 rupees, according to one price guide.

There are two main reasons the headline price is deceiving.
For one, the aligners are only a part of the overall cost. As per Align’s Q1 2026 report, the average revenue per case shipped to doctors was roughly US$1,250. That is what Align earns, not what you pay. The rest of your fee covers the diagnosis, planning, visits, adjustments, and retainers.
Two, the same aligner brand shows different prices on different pages. Toothsi, for instance, shows starting prices of 52,999 and 69,999 on two of their pages, with a higher plan above that. EMIs and promotions move the price around a lot.
What to Get in Writing Before You Start Aligner Treatment
| Item | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| X-rays and scans: included or not | Diagnosis is the foundation of the plan |
| In-person visits | Shows how closely your treatment will be watched |
| Free refinements | Extra trays are common if teeth don’t end in the planned position |
| Attachments and retainers | Often billed separately |
| Longer treatment time | Tells you what happens to the fee if it runs over the quote |
| EMI total, with fees and interest | The real amount you will repay |
We know that the total cost of treatment may appear cheaper with some providers than others. However, be mindful that some cheaper quotes may not include retainers, attachments, refinements, etc. Therefore, a cheaper quote may end up costing the same (or more) than a quote that includes these extras. Certain types of crowding may not always require the most expensive treatment route either. A good provider will tell you this.
Clear Aligner Quality: Why Diagnosis and Monitoring Matter More Than the Brand
We have not found any head-to-head clinical trials of Illusion, Dezy, Toothsi and Invisalign. What professional guidance does point to is the process around the aligner: how the clinician examines, plans and monitors the case.

Diagnosis. Although aligners have made it easier to move teeth, they don’t address problems that sit in the bone and the gum. This is why clinical exams and X-rays are vital for a comprehensive assessment before treatment. A clinical commentary in an Indian orthodontic journal (IJODR) describes a 2021 survey of 334 dental professionals in which over 94% agreed that starting orthodontic treatment without a clinical examination and radiographs falls outside accepted practice. The commentary also notes that bite-related issues were the most common adverse events in a US database for direct-to-consumer aligners.
Planning. Ask to see the plan. Currently, most providers use a computer simulation and guide you through it. A good clinician will also explain what the plan does not address. Align’s software, the platform used to plan Invisalign cases, can be altered by the orthodontist or dentist along the way.
Monitoring and fixes. Teeth typically do not move exactly as planned. Remote monitoring through photos may work for minor adjustments, but in-person monitoring is necessary if there are concerns about how teeth are moving. Refinement sets are common and are needed to help achieve the plan. Ask who looks at your photos and what their qualification is.
Your part. You are your own worst enemy if you do not comply with the prescribed treatment plan and wear the aligners as directed. No manufacturer will make up for aligners that stay in the case.
Invisalign vs Toothsi Brand Trust: What Is Proven and What Is Only Claimed

Invisalign’s track record is its strongest suit. Having been used by about 23 million people provides a good deal of experience in a lot of real mouths, and its doctors are trained and supported by the manufacturer. This is reassurance about the system, not about any single clinic, so it’s still worth checking if your doctor is a trained Invisalign provider and how many cases he or she has handled.
Certifications are used heavily by Indian brands. Toothsi’s parent states the business is ISO 13485 certified and US FDA cleared. Illusion Aligners claims FDA 510(k) clearance and is backed by a dental lab with more than 35 years of history. These are the brands’ own statements, and certificates can be requested. A device clearance speaks to the aligners as a product. It says nothing about who examined you and how closely your treatment will be monitored.
The second thing to be aware of is regulation. The Indian Orthodontic Society has complained to the Dental Council of India about direct-to-consumer aligner companies. According to Dental Tribune’s report, the Council issued a public notice saying teeth should be scanned only by a registered dentist, treatment should be given only by a registered dentist in a clinic or hospital, and companies should not run aggressive marketing to the public. The notice spoke about the category, not about any specific company, and business models change. The advice applies to everyone: find out where your scan is taken, and which registered dentist is responsible for your treatment.
There is also a simple business-risk question. The same IJODR commentary points to the closure of SmileDirectClub in the US, after which its lifetime guarantees stopped meaning anything. A warranty is only as good as the party who stands behind it, so ask who is accountable if your provider changes its business model or closes.
A Trust Check for Any Clear Aligner Provider
| Ask | A good answer looks like |
|---|---|
| Can you name your treating dentist and verify their registration? | A named, registered dentist responsible for your case |
| Will you have an in-person exam and X-rays before the plan is made? | Yes, before any plan or payment |
| Do you get the full treatment plan in writing before paying? | Yes, with trays, visits and what is excluded |
| Is there a local clinic you can walk into if a tray breaks or a tooth hurts? | A named clinic with a way to book quickly |
Invisalign or an Indian Aligner Brand: Which Fits Your Teeth?
| Your situation | Likely better fit | Condition attached |
|---|---|---|
| Clearly crowded or rotated teeth, or the bite is part of the problem | Invisalign with an orthodontist | Budget allows, and your doctor is a trained provider |
| Light crowding or small gaps, cost matters a lot | An Indian aligner brand can be a reasonable choice | A registered dentist examines you in person, takes the right X-rays and reviews your progress |
| Untreated decay or gum disease | Neither, yet | Treat the decay or gum disease first, as moving teeth in unhealthy gums can make things worse |
The most convenient way to compare pricing in Chandigarh or the Tricity is to get a consultation and bring any other quote you have. Orange Dental Clinic in Sector 22C offers Invisalign and clear aligner treatment. A consultation is a good opportunity to get your questions answered.
Some questions could be:
- Is my case mild, moderate, or complex? What is your basis for that?
- What brand of aligners would you use for me, and why?
- What is the anticipated outcome, and how many trays are planned?
- How many visits are included, and who will I see at each visit?
- What will be the duration of treatment, and what could make it longer?
- What are the limitations of aligners for my case?
There is a limit to what aligners can do. If a provider’s answer to the last question is “nothing”, treat that as a red flag and be wary of that practice.
